About MVC101.Net

MVC 101 is a mashup of all things ASP.Net MVC. I started this project as tool to practice my newly learned MVC skills. And hopefully this resource index will help somebody on their path to mastering ASP.Net MVC.

If you got any suggestions / bug reports or would like to submit your site please do drop me a line at mvc101@roonga.com.au.

Thank You

This is just a linking and search website and the real credit belogs to all the Bloggers, Webmasters, Developers linked from this website. I would like to thank them for their time, effort and skill. Their contribution to the programming community is hugely appreciated.

The following Frameworks, Libraries and Tools were used during the development of this site and I would like to thank the developers for giving their time and skill for the greater good.

  • Logo Font is from tenbytwenty. I loved the simple and bold styling.
  • Inkscape and GIMP - I am no designer. But I did do all the graphics styling for this site. GIMP is the best and easy to use free open source tool for graphics editing. And Inkscape is my favourite free and open source vector graphics editor. These two in combination make for excellent package.
  • Bing API - This project uses the soap web service version of the api and is fast, flexible and a delight to use. Using this api, the user is able to search a focused set of quality hand picked resources.
  • delicious API and Delicious.Net (C#.NET Wrapper) - This project uses the delicious api to collect, classify and sync resources. Without which the project would have taken considerable longer time.
  • LinqKit - This is the missing feature set from the Entity Framework. And I use LinqKit as a default in all my projects using the Entity Framework.
  • MVCContrib - This makes ASP.Net MVC so much more fun to use.
  • StructureMap - My favourite Dependency Injection / Inversion of Control tool.
  • Elmah - This is a Error Logging Module and Handler. It has more options and database support than you would ever need.
